Who is it for

The International MBA is a postgraduate programme designed for practising managers, professionals, entrepreneurs, and ambitious graduates who wish to strengthen their academic foundation and advance their managerial, strategic, and leadership capabilities in an international business environment.

Delivered in English, the programme provides students with a broad and contemporary understanding of business administration, combining theory with practical application. It focuses on the development of key managerial skills, strategic thinking, leadership, financial awareness, organisational effectiveness, and decision-making in complex and dynamic markets.

The programme is awarded by the University of Winchester, U.K., offering students an internationally recognised qualification that supports career progression, professional mobility, and personal development.

Through its interdisciplinary structure, the International MBA enables participants to connect their studies directly with real business challenges and to apply their knowledge across different sectors, organisations, and cultural contexts.

Benefits for the students

By completing the International MBA, students gain multiple academic, professional, and personal benefits.

Development of managerial and strategic skills

The programme focuses on the development of essential management capabilities, including strategic thinking, leadership, decision-making, problem-solving, and organisational analysis. These skills are critical for professionals who aim to take on greater responsibility or move into senior management roles.

International business perspective

As the programme is delivered in English and leads to a degree awarded by a U.K. university, students benefit from an international academic framework and a global business orientation. This prepares them to operate effectively in multicultural, competitive, and rapidly changing business environments.

Practical application of knowledge

The International MBA is designed to bridge academic learning with professional practice. Students are encouraged to apply concepts, tools, and frameworks to real organisational issues, strengthening their ability to make informed and effective business decisions.

Career advancement and professional development

An MBA qualification is widely recognised as a valuable asset for professionals seeking promotion, career change, international opportunities, or the development of their own business ventures. The programme supports students in building the confidence and competence required for the next stage of their career.

Expansion of professional network

Students have the opportunity to interact with professionals from different industries, backgrounds, and countries. This creates a valuable learning environment and opens opportunities for collaboration, networking, and future business partnerships.

Personal confidence and leadership maturity

The demanding nature of MBA-level study helps students develop confidence, discipline, resilience, and a stronger professional identity. Graduates are better prepared to manage complexity, lead teams, and respond effectively to business challenges.

Programme of Study

Global Marketing explores how organisations plan, organise and manage marketing activities across different countries, cultures and market conditions. Students examine the principles and practices of international marketing, with emphasis on market analysis, consumer behaviour, brand positioning and strategic adaptation. Through international case studies, they develop the ability to understand how global trends and local market realities influence marketing decisions and long-term organisational success.

Financial Resource Management focuses on the effective use of financial resources in contemporary business environments. Students are introduced to key financial concepts, sources of finance, investment appraisal techniques and the role of financial institutions in business decision-making. By engaging with practical examples and business cases, they learn how internal and external factors affect financial planning, performance and the evaluation of investment opportunities.

Managing People and Organisations provides a systematic understanding of individual, group and organisational behaviour. Students explore issues such as motivation, leadership, communication, organisational culture, performance and change. The subject helps them analyse complex workplace dynamics and develop practical recommendations for improving organisational effectiveness. Real business cases connect theory with practice and support a deeper understanding of how people operate within different organisational contexts.

International Business Environment develops students’ understanding of the external forces that shape international business activity. Attention is given to economic, political, legal, social and cultural factors, as well as their impact on managerial decisions and organisational strategy. Students examine how similar business issues may require different responses across countries, sectors and market conditions, preparing them to operate more effectively in international business settings.

International Business Strategy examines how organisations develop and implement strategy in global and competitive markets. Students work with analytical tools and strategic models to assess organisational capabilities, stakeholder relationships, competitive positioning and market dynamics. The subject also addresses risk, accountability, ethics, corporate social responsibility and sustainability, helping students understand how strategic choices are shaped by both business objectives and wider societal expectations.

Leadership and Developing Skills is centred on the development of strategic leadership capabilities and professional management skills. Students consider how leadership influences performance at individual, team and organisational levels, particularly in complex domestic and international environments. The learning combines theoretical perspectives, practical exercises and case-based discussion, enabling students to strengthen their decision-making, communication, performance management and leadership confidence.

Innovation, Management and Entrepreneurship introduces students to enterprise, entrepreneurial thinking and innovation from an international perspective. The subject highlights the role of innovation in economic, organisational and social development across different sectors and countries. Students develop the ability to address uncertainty, ambiguity and complexity, while also considering sustainability as a key dimension of responsible innovation and entrepreneurial decision-making.

Operations Management develops the analytical and practical skills required to understand how organisations design, manage and improve their operational processes. The subject highlights the strategic contribution of effective operations to productivity, service delivery, quality and competitive advantage. Students examine how operations interact with other organisational functions and how operational decisions can support stronger performance in both public and private sector organisations.

Business Research Methods prepares students to design, conduct and present structured research in business and management. Students examine research philosophies, methodologies, ethical considerations and qualitative and quantitative approaches to data collection and analysis. The subject provides the academic and practical foundation for the final project, enabling students to produce evidence-based, rigorous and professionally relevant research.

The Final Project allows students to specialise in an area of business or management aligned with their academic interests and career objectives. Working under academic supervision, they conduct an independent research project, apply appropriate research methods and critically engage with relevant theory and evidence. The project demonstrates advanced analytical, research and problem-solving skills and may also support future professional or academic development.
